The diamond tennis bracelet is a classic piece of jewelry. It complements casual and formal styles, and is neither garish, nor gaudy. Bracelets vary in price, so they are affordable regardless of a shopper’s budget. When made of high-quality materials and well-constructed, they are also durable and long-lasting. This makes them an ideal heirloom piece. Before shopping for a diamond tennis bracelet, there are a few things you should know.

Diamond tennis bracelets, as well as diamonds and jewelry in general, should be purchased from a reputable dealer. If you are concerned about the reputation of a dealer, speak with people you know who have recently made jewelry purchases. You can also ask the jeweler for a reference from a previous client or search online for jewelry store reviews. If you are shopping in person, engage the jeweler in conversation. Reputable jewelers are able to carry on conversations about their pieces and about the industry in general. The more you learn from a variety of sources, the better able you are to make a smart purchasing decision.

During the information gathering and browsing stage of your shopping, look at loose diamonds, as well as finished bracelets. Diamonds come in a surprising variety of colors. Viewing them under the appropriate lighting helps you decide which hue you like best. When looking at bracelets, try a few on to see what style looks best and what feels most comfortable. If you are able to narrow your choice down to three or four styles in your price range, it will make your decision much easier. Keep in mind if you find a gem color, style and price you are comfortable with, the jeweler might be able to design a custom piece for you. It is better to set a budget in advance, so you do not get overwhelmed with the available choices and spend more than you originally intended. Ask the jeweler to show you options only in your price range.

There are four important factors to consider when choosing diamonds. In addition to color, you should be concerned with clarity, cut and carat. The clarity is an indication of how many impurities are visible in a diamond. When you look at a diamond under proper lighting, you might see tiny black, gray or brown flecks. These are impurities and they reduce the sparkle and brilliance of the diamond. The more impurities a diamond has, the less expensive it costs. The cut of the diamond also plays a role in how brilliant it is. A quality cut can hide impurities and works with the diamond to make it sparkle when it catches the light. The carat of the diamond indicates the size of the gem.

Another style consideration is the type of metal your diamonds are set in. You have several choices, but the most popular are silver, gold or platinum. White gold is an affordable option for platinum if this expensive metal is out of your budget, but you are not fond of yellow metal. All three of these choices are strong and sturdy enough to be suitable for an everyday piece of jewelry, but they do vary in strength. Platinum is the strongest of the metals. The karat of gold determine the metal’s strength, so if you choose gold, be sure to speak with the jeweler about how strong your bracelet will be. Fourteen and 18 karat gold are the most durable options and are therefore the most common ones used by fine jewelers. It is rare to find diamonds set in silver, but it does exist. If you have a tight budget, silver is an affordable option that can be upgraded in the future. The quality of the diamonds is more important than the metal because you can have the diamond reset in a better metal when your budget allows.

In addition to the color and strength of the metal, you will also want to consider how ornate you want the metal work to be and how much space you want between your wrist and the bracelet. This will determine the amount of metal used and the length of the bracelet.

Once your choices are narrowed to just a few options, return to the store a few time to view your favorites. The diamonds will look different based on the time of day, even with jewelery store lighting. If you see the choices a few times in different lighting, it might make your decision easier. After several viewings, you should be able to make your choice and purchase the bracelet you like best.

If you are buying your diamond tennis bracelet online, there are a few additional things to consider. The process is somewhat similar to buying the piece in person, but you might need to do a bit more research. If possible, view comparable bracelets in person. Since you will not be able to try on an online bracelet in person, you should know exactly what size you want to purchase in advance. You can have your wrist sized at a jewelry store or use a string and ruler to determine the size on your own. A string also helps you determine the amount of dangle you want between your wrist and the bracelet. The most important factors is to ensure the bracelet will not slip over your hand when worn.

Buying a diamond tennis bracelet should be a fun experience. There is a lot to know and several factors to consider, but your shopping experience should be enjoyable. Most importantly, take your time, work with a reputable company and be sure you are getting the quality piece you desire.

Many men around the world are taking a shine to the fashion of wearing earrings, and a diamond earring for men is becoming an increasingly popular style. Many men will buy diamond earring to wear in their ear, and a diamond earring for men is worn by guys for a number of reasons:

Many men simply wear their diamond earring for men as a fashion statement, such as an accessory to complement their fancy watch and cuff links. Many famous actors use a diamond earring for men, such as Will Smith.

Some men simply fancy themselves to have the kind of personality that can afford the style of a diamond earring or two. Manny men consider that wearing an earring is a sign of manliness, or that it shows that they have a meticulous personality.

Some people wear earrings as a religious symbol. Some devout Sikhs and members of other religions wear earrings as a symbol of their devotion or strong beliefs.

Some guys just love to show off, and few things call attention more than a diamond earring for men. Shiny, sparkling jewelry in a guys ear is one of the best ways that men have to call attention to themselves, and men that love to be flashy and attention grabbing often sport a diamond earring for men. It looks cool and elegant!

Guys wear jewelry with a lot of shiny stones, especially rappers and black people with their “bling”. This kind of jewelry is designed as a show of wealth and prestige for many people, which is one of the reasons that diamond earrings for men have become increasingly popular in recent years.

A common question among men is which ear to put the earring in. The confusion between which is the proper ear for gay guys to wear their earring has left many men in doubt as to which ear is the best to pierce. Officially, the correct ear for gay guys to pierce is the right ear, but many guys have their left ear pierced as well.

Another question that arises is whether to wear an earring in one or both ears. Many people feel that wearing an earring in both ears could be seen as being gay, as many member of the gay community wear two earrings. Wearing an earring in each ear does not confirm a person’s homosexuality, but is a personal choice.

When deciding which ear to pierce or whether or not to pierce both ears, you need to take into account your person style. Some men prefer to wear two earrings, as only wearing one makes them look gay. Some men look terrible when wearing two earrings, and should stick with just one earring which can be worn in either ear.

Look at yourself and try on different earrings in either one or both ears, and see which fits best to help you decide which ear to pierce.

When you decide to buy diamond earrings, either for yourself or as a gift for someone else, it is important that you understand the difference between cost and beauty. Diamonds that are of a superior quality will naturally come with a higher price tag and if you are prepared to spend the extra, you will want to know that the diamonds stud earrings you choose are of a higher quality. Whatever carat diamond stud earrings with quality stones will be more brilliant and more beautiful.
Assuming that your budget is not too restrictive you should ideally choose a cut diamond of G-H color and what is referred to as “eye-clean” clarity. These diamonds are usually fairly priced and yet diamond stud earrings of this quality boast the same brilliant shower of light as others that can cost considerably more.
There are three reasons for this and they are:
• When the diamond is cut properly, it is imbued with the life and sparkle that we all find so captivating and alluring about these beautiful stones.
• The G-H color actually appears to be colorless when it is mounted which means that there is therefore really no legitimate reason to spend the extra amount, sometimes thousands of dollars more, for D-E-F color diamonds. The diamonds will still appear beautiful and dazzling when worn.
• A diamond of S12 clarity is considered by experts to be “eye-clean” which means that there are no visible flaws or intrusions that are apparent to the naked eye and the diamond therefore costs much less than diamonds with a higher clarity grade.
People who have to accept that they are on a budget can still choose to buy diamond earrings that contain stones with a lower quality level without feeling that they have reason to be ashamed. Remember that diamonds by definition are attractive because of their unique sparkle and most women would rather wear a pair of 1-carat diamond stud earrings despite the lower quality level than a pair of ½-carat stud diamond stud earrings that are of a higher quality, especially since the difference is not even discernable to the naked eye.
When you have made the decision to buy diamond stud earrings, there are a number of things that you need to consider and the following points will be helpful in your search for the perfect pair of diamond stud earrings:
• Make sure that you select the right color
The best diamonds available are colorless. They are difficult to find and are very expensive. Diamonds that fall in the D-F range are considered colorless. G-I are nearly colorless while grades below J have a slightly yellow tinge to them. If you are not particular about having a whiter stone, the color of the diamond is not really of that much importance and is nothing more than a matter of personal preference.
Experts tend to be of a unanimous opinion that diamonds in the G-H range that are mounted actually appear to be colorless and so represent a higher value than the D-F diamonds which are considerably more costly.
• Choosing the proper clarity
Inclusions, or flaws as they are more commonly known, affect the price you will pay for the diamond stud earrings that you choose to buy. When there are fewer inclusions, the stones are therefore rarer and more expensive as a result. It is important to remember that these flaws are not visible to the naked eye and do not impact negatively upon the beauty of the diamond in any way.
S12 grade diamonds and above have inclusions that are invisible to the naked eye and are considered “eye-clean”. An I1 grade will still be excellent value especially if the flaw is on the outer edge of the diamond. Once you reach the 13 grade diamonds, you will begin to see a more opaque or dark tinge to the diamond that is discernable to the naked eye.
• Choosing the proper cut
The cut is probably the most important aspect when it comes to the brilliance and beauty of a diamond. When a diamond is cut properly and professionally, it reflects light internally and so displays the characteristic dazzling shower of light back through the top of the stone.
It is important to look at the center of the stone to detect dark facets or a darker ring around the center. You need to determine whether there is an appearance of opaqueness and if these signs are visible, you will then know that the quality of the cut is not good.
• The brilliance, dispersion and scintillation
To properly measure the real beauty of a diamond that is expertly cut you need to notice the brilliance, dispersion and scintillation of the stone. When a diamond is properly cut, it returns much more light than otherwise and this is the real secret of a beautiful diamond.
When it comes to understanding the above-mentioned terms “brilliance, dispersion and scintillation the following is important:
1. Brilliance
This is achieved by the amount of white light that is discernable both externally and internally and can be seen by the naked eye.
2. Dispersion
This encompasses the flashes of color that are seen when the stone is seen in strong, direct light.
3. Scintillation
This is the white light that flashes from the diamond’s surface.
Whatever carat diamond stud earrings you choose, these points can help you to choose the right diamonds without breaking the bank, which is essential, if you are shopping on a budget as many people are. Provided that you know what to look for and understand the basics, your choice to buy diamond earrings will be one that you will not regret and the person for whom you have purchased them will get years of pleasure wearing these exquisite pieces of jewelry

What to Look for in a Diamond

Diamonds are those mysterious yet beautiful gemstones that fascinate and intrigue most people into buying a piece of jewelry that has at least one diamond. This can be a tennis bracelet, diamond earrings for women or a diamond earring for men, rings, necklaces, pendants, ankle bracelets, and so on. There are, of course many types of of these precious stones—all are not cut the same way or have the same quality of color. For example, the cut, weight, and clarity of each can vary a great deal.

Many people are often confused or overwhelmed about a pending purchase of a piece of diamond jewelry. They wonder if they are getting a good quality and are often puzzled because they can’t really decide what makes a diamond a good diamond. When you buy diamond gifts online for someone special or for yourself, make sure you can view an image of the item and read a description.

So many clichés have been said about diamonds and, by extension, diamond gifts. A few of these clichés include the classic line about diamonds being a girl’s best friend; Elizabeth Taylor saying big girls need big diamonds; and the old Chinese proverb about having a diamond with a flaw than a perfect pebble. Indeed, diamonds are the most desired and most desirable gemstone known to man – and women, for that matter.

But just because a diamond glitters, glows and gleams, not to mention looks gigantic, does not necessarily mean that it is the best diamond in the lot. Many factors must be considered when one wishes to buy diamond earrings, necklaces and rings for their beloved woman – or man for that matter since men are also great fans of diamonds – and make them happy about the present. If you wish to give the best diamond gifts that your money can afford, the most important first step that you can do is to educate yourself about the five Cs.

Cut

Let’s discuss the most important C- cut. Its primary importance lies in the fact that the quality of the cut makes virtually all the difference in how a diamond looks particularly in terms of brilliance. A good cut gives a diamond its mesmerizing brilliance when light enters its table, travels through the pavilion and then reflected back out through the table again before hitting the observer’s eyes. The effect is a fiery fire that seems to come out of a well-cut diamond’s heart!

If you want to find the best diamond gifts, ask the jeweler about the grade for the cut criterion. For example, when you buy diamond earrings, we suggest looking for the diamonds graded as “Ideal”, “Premium” and “Very Good” on the certification while avoiding the diamonds with a “Fair and Poor” ratings. Of course, the Ideal cut diamonds have the best brilliance in the lot with the assumption that the other three Cs are on similar footing.

Clarity

Clarity refers to two things, namely, the presence of blemishes on the diamond’s surface and inclusions within the gemstone. While blemishes can be visible to the naked eye, inclusions are only visible with the use of special magnifying tools. Well, of course, you will want to buy diamond gifts without internal and external flaws but you must also consider other factors particularly your budget.

Diamonds are graded for clarity according to the following classification:

• Flawless – This is an extremely rare diamond with no visible internal and external flaws

• Internally Flawless – A very rare diamond, indeed, it has no internal flaws but a few external blemishes can be seen

• Very Very Slightly Included – Minute inclusions are very difficult to detect at 10x magnification

• Very Slightly Included – Minute inclusions can be seen albeit with difficulty

• Slightly Included – Minute inclusions are more easily detected with a 10x magnification

• Included – Inclusions and blemishes are visible to the naked eye

So, what does these clarity grades all mean where choosing diamond gifts are concerned? For one thing, it should be noted that a diamond’s clarity grade will have no impact on its general appearance but it will affect its financial value. For example, when you buy diamond earrings for your wife, we always suggest going for the highest clarity value your pockets can afford but never to purchase diamonds graded at the “Included” category. Even an untrained person in the art of diamonds will take unfavorable notice of your poor choice in the gemstone.

Color

Color obviously refers to the presence or absence of colors like pink, blue and yellow tones in white diamonds. The adage about diamonds and, by extension, diamond gifts being forever may be said to arise out of the fact that a diamond’s color never changes regardless of the time that passes by.

Color in a diamond itself is the result of its unique molecular composition with gemologists grading diamonds from D to Z, with D (colorless) as the highest grade and Z as the lowest with increasing degrees of yellowish to brownish color in between. It must be emphasized, however, that fancy color diamonds are the exceptions to the rule in that their very color increases their values. These fancy diamonds range in color from bright blue to bright yellow, even green.

What bearing does color have on choosing from among a wide array of possible diamond gifts? Well, if you want to buy diamond earrings with a sizable amount on its price tag, we recommend asking the jeweler for the diamonds graded D to F since these are the rarest. If you are on a budget, diamonds graded J to M on the color scale are still good choices for as long as the base metal used to mount them highlight their color.

Carat

Carat refers to the weight of the diamond with one carat equaling 0.2 grams. Size does matter when it comes to this criterion as even an untrained eye will know the difference between a one-carat diamond and a ten-carat stone.

How do you choose diamond gifts based on carats? For example what should look for when you want to buy a tennis bracelet? Do you want bezel diamond earrings? It all boils down to how much you can afford, what your recipient prefers in terms of size, and how the diamond looks on its setting. We always suggest buying what you can afford since a diamond may be a girl’s best friend but it can quickly become a man’s worst enemy when the credit card bills come pouring in. So, when you buy diamond earrings, you must put careful thought into the factors of cut, clarity, color and carat – often in that order of importance.

You must also ask for a diamond certificate, which represents the fifth C in the gemstone. Basically, it is the professional analysis of a diamond’s dimensions, polish, symmetry as well as the four Cs. Think of it as a particular diamond’s identification card.

Everybody loves to receive diamond gifts especially when these were chosen with a balance of the best in the four Cs and the best of loving intentions. So, choose well and let your gift recipient be the happiest person on earth. Relax, and choose thoughtfully—because in the end the person receiving the diamond gift will probably be satisfied no matter what you buy!
